About the Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment where pupils can thrive. Working alongside experienced staff and teaching assistants, you will deliver high‑quality learning experiences and support pupils both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons to a Year 4 class
- Support learning through whole‑class teaching, alongside 1:1 and small‑group support
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs and abilities
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour management and a positive learning environment
- Supervise pupils during transitions, break times, and throughout the school day
- Encourage confidence, participation, and inclusion across all activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff to ensure consistency and support pupil progress
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Have experience or confidence teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience desirable)
- Be calm, flexible, and adaptable in your approach
- Demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passionate about pupil progress, wellbeing, and inclusive education
