Teaching Personnel are partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Huyton to appoint a dedicated Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant for the upcoming academic year. This role will involve delivering focused literacy and numeracy interventions to both small groups and individual pupils across KS1 and KS2, supporting academic progress while boosting pupil confidence.

The Role

As an Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils both within the classroom setting and in targeted intervention groups

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have recent experience delivering interventions within a primary school
  • Possess a solid understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in English and Maths
  • Be confident working with both small groups and on a one-to-one basis
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and initiative
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Be committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel
