Are you an experienced teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role where you can make a real impact? TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils across Huntingdon and the surrounding areas. Tuition sessions take place in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours, supporting children and young people who require additional academic support to reach their full potential.

This rewarding opportunity is ideal for experienced educators who are passionate about helping pupils who may be out of mainstream education, have SEND, SEMH needs, medical needs, or require tailored one-to-one support to re-engage with learning.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and personalised one-to-one tuition tailored to each pupil's individual learning needs.
  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Support pupils in building confidence, improving attainment, and developing a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress after each tuition session.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and local authorities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years' teaching experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet individual pupil needs.
  • A patient, adaptable, and reliable approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel between tuition locations.
