Teaching Personnel are recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in primary schools across Huddersfield. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or move into education — no formal qualifications are required. We’re looking for the right attitude and a genuine interest in working with children. Previous experience in schools, childcare, sports coaching, youth work, or care settings is highly valued.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom routines
- Support pupils to stay focused and engaged
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes
- Build positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents/carers
Experience & Skills
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Qualifications in childcare or education are a bonus, not essential
