Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work at one of our welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Hounslow.
This role is within a nurturing primary school committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to positively impact children's academic progress, confidence and emotional wellbeing. You will support pupils who may require additional guidance both in and out of the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
You will be working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting to individual learning styles and promoting engagement throughout the school day.

- Have a caring, patient and nurturing personality
- Be confident supporting pupils with SEN needs
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Remain calm, adaptable and resilient in challenging situations
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's development
It is desirable for candidates:
- To have previous SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant experience
- To have experience supporting Autism, ADHD or Speech & Language needs
- To be confident working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
- To have knowledge of behaviour management strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
