Part-Time SENDCo (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator)

Location: Horwich
Start Date: October 2026
Salary: From £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and experienced SENDCo to join our team from October. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting.
  • Support children with additional needs through high-quality planning and intervention.
  • Work closely with staff to develop inclusive practice and provide guidance and support.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, offering advice and regular communication.
  • Create, review, and monitor Provision Maps and individual support plans.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals, including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Health Visitors, and Local Authority services.
  • Ensure SEND records are accurate and comply with current legislation and best practice.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEND.
  • Have a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Be confident in supporting staff and working collaboratively with families.
  • Be organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Hold a relevant SENDCo qualification or be willing to work towards one (desirable).
