A newly opened SEND secondary school is seeking a Nurture Teacher to support young people aged 11-16. This is a rare opportunity to join a school at the beginning of its journey and help shape its future. The school supports students with social communication needs, emotional regulation challenges, and sensory processing differences, typically associated with Autism.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver and develop a creative, inclusive curriculum
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Plan and deliver short, medium, and long-term learning plans
- Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets
- Track progress and report to parents and key stakeholders
- Contribute to EHCPs, PEPs, and LAC reviews
- Create engaging, structured lessons that motivate and challenge
- Manage behaviour positively and in line with school policies
- Stay informed on current best practice in autism education
- Be flexible and ready to support across the school where needed
- There may also be a requirement to work from a nearby satellite site when needed
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working in SEND settings, particularly with ASC
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum
- Knowledge of ASC and SEMH needs, including complex presentations
- Additional SEND qualifications
- Experience developing curriculum for learners with SEND
- Understanding of co-occurring conditions associated with autism
