Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Honiton and the surrounding areas from September. Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Honiton and surrounding areas
Start Date: September
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Flexible supply, short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time opportunities available
Term Time Only

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Helping children build confidence and make progress in their learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
  • Are positive, patient, and enthusiastic
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are passionate about helping children succeed
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Are reliable, adaptable, and eager to support pupils' development

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Must hold or be able to obtain a valid DBS check and be available for safeguarding training.
