Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Primary Schools – Sheffield & Barnsley

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support teaching and learning across a range of welcoming primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys making a real difference in the classroom and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning
  • Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups
  • Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A positive, flexible and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
