We are seeking a skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a range of friendly and supportive primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley.

This role is ideal for an experienced teaching assistant who is confident supporting learning, delivering interventions, and leading classes when required.

The Role

  • Supporting teaching and learning across all primary key stages
  • Delivering planned lessons and covering classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Leading small-group and one-to-one interventions
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND
  • Assisting with assessment, behaviour management and classroom organisation
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Experience working across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Confident in leading learning activities and managing a classroom
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
