The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key stages and classrooms, helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and ensuring children receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.
Duties
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Supporting children with additional learning or behavioural needs where required
- Encouraging pupil engagement and promoting positive behaviour
- Adapting confidently to different school settings and age groups
Qualifications
- Have experience working with children in schools, childcare, youth work or similar settings
- Have a positive, flexible and reliable attitude
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Have strong communication skills
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Have an interest in SEN support (advantageous but not required)
