Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school on a permanent basis, starting in the new academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex and severe learning needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Support students with severe and complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Physical disabilities
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity, respect, and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff to deliver personalised learning and care plans.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND in an education, care, or support setting.
- Knowledge or experience in supporting children with various needs.
