We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming school in Thetford through Teaching Personnel.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for supervising classes of students and ensuring they complete the work that has been set for them by the absent teacher. This is a crucial, non-teaching role that involves managing classroom dynamics, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students to stay on task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise secondary school classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.
- Manage student behaviour effectively and in line with school policy.
- Ensure students complete the work that has been set for them.
- Provide general support to students and answer their questions as needed.
- Report back to the class teacher or Head of Department on the lesson's progress.
- Uphold the school's high standards and values.
