Job Duties:
- Provide cover teaching for secondary school classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively to ensure continuity in student learning
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and examinations
- Communicate with school staff and parents regarding student performance and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
- Prior experience in teaching or cover teaching role preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and strategies
- Organisational skills and ability to manage classroom dynamics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours on a contract basis
