Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex learning disabilities and difficulties (CLDD), or ASD / ADHD? We are working with a fantastic special educational needs school across Luton that provides a nurturing, inclusive, and person-centred environment for children and young people with additional needs. The school is looking for a caring and resilient individual to join their team and make a real difference to students’ lives on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with PMLD/CLDD in all aspects of their learning and development.
- Using communication aids and sensory resources to engage and motivate pupils.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education and care plans.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/CLDD (school) ESSENTIAL
- Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- A patient, positive, and compassionate approach.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Have an Enhanced Child DBS or willing to obtain.
