Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Helston

Salary: £89–£95 per day

Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for long-term opportunities)

Start Date: January 2026

Working Pattern: Flexible hours available (part-time or full-time options)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a supportive, enthusiastic T.A to work across KS1 and KS2 in a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Helston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly while making a real impact on pupils’ learning and well-being. Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to pupils across KS1 and KS2, including occasional 1:1 support
  • Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Helping to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ emotional needs
  • Supporting small groups or individual pupils to boost progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working within a primary school setting (KS1 or KS2)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Availability for flexible hours – part-time or full-time
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
