Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive Primary Special Educational Needs (SEND) school in the Haywards Heath area, who are seeking dedicated Child Supervisors to join their team on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.

You will play a vital role in helping primary-aged boys access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
As a Child Supervisor, you will provide consistent 1:1 support to primary-aged boys with learning difficulties throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual support within the classroom to encourage learning and engagement.
- Supporting pupils as they transition between lessons and around the school site.
- Assisting during educational visits and school trips, ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged, and included.
- Building positive relationships that promote confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored support strategies.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop essential social and communication skills.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Are patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference.
- Are confident working on a 1:1 basis with primary-aged pupils.
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
- Can commit to a full-time role, Monday to Friday.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the school's location.
