About the Role:
- Plan and deliver tailored sessions focused on Maths, English or Science, adapted to each student’s level and goals
- Provide face‑to‑face support in the pupil’s home, a local library, or agreed community setting
- Work with students who may need extra help catching up or building confidence in core subjects
- Monitor progress, identify gaps in learning, and set achievable goals
- Keep students motivated and engaged with creative, supportive teaching
- Use positive behaviour strategies to ensure productive, focused sessions
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
- Confident teaching Maths, English or Science at KS1–KS4 (depending on your specialism)
- Ability to tailor sessions to individual needs and learning styles
- Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills
- Passion for helping pupils grow in confidence and ability
Requirements:
- Enhanced child‑only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we can assist)
