Additional Needs Teaching Assistants (Level 2 & Level 3) to support learners at a specialist post-16 educational provision in the Haslingden area.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive and learner-focused setting that specialises in preparing young adults with SEND for adulthood, citizenship and employment.
The provision supports learners aged 18-25 with a range of additional needs, including severe and moderate learning difficulties and EHCPs.
Responsibilities
- Support learners with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, learner-centred lessons and activities.
- Promote independence, confidence and preparation for adulthood.
- Support communication, social development and employability skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND.
- A caring, patient and flexible approach.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) desirable.
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or relevant experience desirable.
- Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and deliver targeted learning support.
- Commitment to inclusion, learner development and professional growth.
