We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Computer Science to join a forward thinking and supportive secondary school in Harrow. The Role

  • You will be responsible for delivering high quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), ensuring pupils develop confidence in programming, problem solving, and digital literacy.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Teaching core concepts such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and computer systems
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning

  • Supporting enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, STEM events, or competitions

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Can teach at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scratch
  • Is passionate about technology and education
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
