SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Ringwood
Competitive: £92.63 per day (6.5 hour day - half an hour unpaid lunch)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday - from September 2026
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our lovely and supportive schools in Ringwood. This is a full-time role supporting a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to a child’s educational journey and wellbeing within a nurturing primary school environment.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with additional needs
- Support the child both inside and outside of the classroom
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
- Encourage engagement, confidence and independence in learning
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil and their family
Requirements
- Previous SEN experience is essential
- Experience supporting children within a school or educational setting
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service is desirable
