Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking valuable classroom experience or considering a future career in teaching.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide cover for classes of students aged 11–16 in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that pupils remain engaged with pre-prepared learning materials. You will help maintain a positive, well-managed learning environment across a variety of subjects and provide a small amount of support to students with special educational needs (SEN) where required. The role involves delivering and overseeing lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, keeping students focused and productive, and providing feedback to teaching staff regarding both progress and conduct.
