Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Berkeley, Gloucestershire from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who wants to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators. Working on a part-time basis, you will take responsibility for your own class, delivering engaging lessons that encourage creativity, practical skills, and independent thinking.

Whether it's product design, resistant materials, or developing problem-solving skills through hands-on learning, you'll play a key role in helping students discover a genuine passion for Design & Technology.

The Role

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality DT lessons.
  • Take responsibility for teaching and managing your assigned classes.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students to develop practical, technical, and creative skills.
  • Monitor and assess progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Encourage confidence, innovation, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
  • Can deliver engaging lessons that motivate and inspire students.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
  • Has a genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
  • Works effectively as part of a wider school team.
