About the Role
We are currently recruiting dedicated and confident Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Runcorn and neighbouring areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference to their education and wellbeing.
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, manage behaviour, and achieve their potential, particularly those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class and one-to-one support to pupils
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Support pupils with emotional, social, and academic development
- Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
- Confidence and/or experience in a supportive role within an educational setting
- Expected experience working with SEN, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- willingness and ability to travel across Liverpool and surrounding areas
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
