About the Role

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the PR3 area from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to secure a long‑term role within a welcoming and inclusive school that prioritises pupil wellbeing and tailored support.

As an SEN TA, you will provide 1:1 support and small group intervention for pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage in learning and make progress both academically and socially.

Pupils Supported:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored SEN support on a 1:1 basis
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children or young people
  • Background in education, care, support work, or similar
  • Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
