Teaching Personnel is recruiting a teaching assistant for a welcoming primary school in Great Eccleston. The role will begin in September 2026 and will support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support pupil progress.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably within KS2.
  • Patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Holds a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent – desirable but not essential).
