As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with their learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Help pupils remain focused, engaged, and motivated in lessons.
  • Build positive working relationships with students and staff.
  • Support children with a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and participation in learning.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in any subject.
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

This may include tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, care work, voluntary work, or placement experience.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, although support can be provided with obtaining one if required.
