Are you a recent graduate looking to gain practical experience in a primary school setting? We are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to support Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 pupils in high-performing and inclusive mainstream primary schools across the Black Country.

This role offers the opportunity to develop key classroom skills, support pupil progress, and work alongside experienced teachers in a structured and supportive environment.

  • Delivering small group interventions in areas such as phonics, early literacy, reading comprehension and numeracy
  • Supporting classroom routines and assisting with the delivery of the primary curriculum
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with mild additional learning needs, under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and promoting positive behaviour
  • Contributing to EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classroom environments that support learning and emotional wellbeing

A recent graduate (Psychology, Education, Sports Science, or related field)

A genuine interest in primary education and child development

Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach

Previous experience working with children (e.g. schools, tutoring, holiday camps, mentoring) is highly beneficial

Looking to pursue a career in primary teaching, educational psychology, or related fields

Gain meaningful experience in primary classroom support

Develop practical skills in phonics delivery, Key Stage 1 intervention support, and guided reading facilitation
