Teaching Personnel works in partnership with high-achieving secondary schools based in Newcastle to recruit passionate and dedicated Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive department, where you will play a key role in inspiring students and raising attainment in core subjects.
The opportunity:
- Graduate Cover Supervisor
- September 2026
- Hold / predicted degree with a 2:2 or above
- Full-time role, Monday - Friday. Would also accept Part time
- £450 -£500 per week pro rata - term time only
- Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training
The successful graduate must:
- A strong understanding of concepts and curriculum content.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for education and helping students succeed.
Key responsibilities for your role:
- Support classroom activities and assist in delivering lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Help to monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with homework and assignments.
- Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.
