We are seeking dedicated and compassionate tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with diverse and often complex needs. This is an opportunity to make a real difference - providing personalised support to pupils who face significant barriers to education.
About the Role: As a 1:1 tutor, you will work with students in their homes or local community settings. These learners are not currently in school and require bespoke educational support to help them re-engage with learning and reach their full potential. Our pupils present with a range of needs, including:
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and general learning difficulties
- Children in Care requiring catch-up support due to disrupted education
- School-refusing pupils or those experiencing significant mental health challenges
- Asylum seekers who need support adapting to a new education system
- Young people excluded from mainstream school settings
Who This Role Suits: This position is ideal for:
- Experienced tutors or educators with a strong track record of supporting children
- Individuals with a genuine interest in helping pupils overcome personal and educational challenges
Assignments typically range from 1 to 15 hours per week, allowing for a high degree of flexibility and autonomy.
Subjects Covered: English, Mathematics, Science, Life Skills, Transition Support (e.g., reintegration into school). We work with students aged 4 to 19, and we will aim to match you with learners in the age group and subject area most suited to your expertise.
Requirements: QTS, QTLS, is preferred but not a must. Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
