- Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated
- Teaching Assistant to provide
1:1 support for a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Gateshead.
The role will initially
3 days per week , as the pupil is currently following a part-time timetable.
The school is committed to supporting the child's successful transition back into full-time education, with the expectation that the role will increase to full-time from October half term .
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil.
- Build a positive, trusting relationship to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEN setting.
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships.
- Can remain calm and adaptable in a range of situations.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
- Competitive daily pay of
£95–£110 , depending on experience.
