Guaranteed Work Scheme – Key Information

Our Guaranteed Work Scheme provides consistency and income security for teachers who want reassurance that they will be paid even when work is unavailable.

How the scheme works:

  • You agree to be available for a set number of days per week.

  • If suitable work cannot be found (and the majority of schools are open), you will receive 100% of your daily pay rate , minus one day.

    • Example: If you commit to 5 days per week and no work is secured, you will be paid for 4 days guaranteed .

About the Role

Teaching Personnel Cambridge is recruiting dedicated and experienced Primary Teachers to work across schools in Cambridgeshire from January 2026 . We are seeking teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of two years’ UK primary teaching experience , who are committed to delivering high-quality education within inclusive environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND .

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with school and national expectations.

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and senior leaders.

  • Participate in wider school life, including events and extracurricular activities.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential .

  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching in a UK primary setting.

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.

  • Proven ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

  • Willingness to travel within Cambridgeshire (own transport desirable).

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
