We are seeking a passionate and fully qualified SEN Teacher to support pupils in the Northumberland (NE24) area. This role involves working with students who require additional support, including pupils with SEN, SEMH needs, or those currently outside of mainstream education. You will deliver tailored support either within school settings or through 1:1 tuition, helping learners build confidence, engagement, and academic progress.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Support pupils with SEN including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and professionals
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Maintain safeguarding and compliance standards at all times
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 2 years' UK teaching experience
- Experience supporting SEN pupils
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Additional Requirements
- Experience with 1:1 tuition or alternative provision
- Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
