Full-Time Teaching Assistant Location: Leigh, Wigan Hours: Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week Start Date: Immediate / ASAP We are currently supporting a primary school in the WN7 area who are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, caring, and committed to supporting pupils throughout their learning journey.
The school has a strong focus on inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and creating a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.
Key duties will include: Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning Assisting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Supporting daily routines, transitions, and classroom organisation Preparing resources and supporting lesson delivery The successful candidate will: Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting Be patient, reliable, and approachable Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities Work well as part of a team Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference within a supportive school environment.
