Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Fluent Welsh-Speaking Cover Supervisor to work full-time at a secondary school in Cardiff starting September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching, youth work, or education support. Candidates from a sports background are particularly encouraged to apply, though this is not essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and support student engagement
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SLT to ensure continuity of learning
  • Support learners aged 11–16 across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Requirements:
  • Fluent Welsh speaker
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work)
  • Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and confident managing whole-class settings
  • A sports coaching background is desirable, but not required
