Teaching Personnel is recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to provide high‑quality cover across a collection of SEN and SEMH provisions throughout Frome and the surrounding area. These settings support pupils with a wide range of additional needs, meaning no two assignments are ever the same. Responsibilities
- Assist pupils with personalised learning programmes
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition, social communication difficulties and emotional regulation needs
- Facilitate engagement in lessons and practical activities
- Promote independence and confidence‑building
- Implement behaviour support strategies effectively
- Support pupils during transitions throughout the school day
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider professionals
- Encourage positive educational and personal development outcomes
Qualifications
- Previous experience within SEN, SEMH or specialist education
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong classroom support skills
- Confidence managing challenging situations appropriately
- Excellent organisational abilities
