Teaching Personnel is recruiting experienced High Level Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist schools in the Frome area. These are supply opportunities for individuals seeking flexible work and who are confident stepping into different settings when schools require additional cover. There is potential for an earlier start before September 2026 for suitable candidates. The provisions support children and young people with a broad range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, trauma, ADHD and learning disabilities. With several specialist settings in the area, there are a variety of opportunities available.
About the Position
- Lead learning activities and small intervention groups.
- Provide classroom cover when required.
- Support pupils with individual learning and behavioural needs.
- Assist in implementing EHCP targets and support plans.
- Promote independence and positive outcomes.
- Work alongside teaching and therapeutic teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence working across different age groups and abilities.
