Are you a caring and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in a lovely local primary school?

We are working closely with a friendly, welcoming primary school in the BS49 area that is seeking a flexible Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support on a part time basis. You can choose the days you work, which is ideal if you are looking to balance work with other commitments.

The Role

  • Support teaching and learning in KS1 classes in a nurturing, inclusive environment
  • Work with groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress
  • Assist with preparing resources and supporting planned activities
  • Help maintain a calm, purposeful classroom with positive behaviour management
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure continuity for pupils
  • Contribute positively to the warm, community focused ethos of this lovely school

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting
  • Confident supporting learning across Year 1 and Year 2
  • Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience highly desirable
