We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Stockton‑on‑Tees on a flexible supply basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build classroom experience, maintain flexibility, or further their career in education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and complete pre‑set work in a structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising students across a range of subjects

  • Delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials
  • Encouraging student engagement and participation
  • Providing basic learning support where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in UK secondary schools is essential
  • Background as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or similar is desirable

  • Confidence to lead a class independently
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual approach
  • Good understanding of the UK education system
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
