The Science Department
The Science Faculty is a dynamic and successful department where practical learning plays a central role in developing students' scientific understanding and curiosity. As Senior Science Technician, you will be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department and supporting the delivery of practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The Role
- Leading on the preparation and organisation of practical Science resources
- Supporting teachers with practical investigations and demonstrations
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it remains safe and fit for purpose
- Managing stock levels and ordering equipment and consumables
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the wider technician team and helping to coordinate departmental operations
- Contributing to the effective delivery of practical Science across the curriculum
