The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within a nurturing Key Stage 2 environment.
As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support both the academic and personal development of your pupils. You will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all learners can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary
- Provide targeted support to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, including SEN staff and subject leads
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to differentiate effectively to support all learners
