Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting ASAP until 18th December 2026 (anticipated). This role would suit a Geography subject specialist, ideally with a qualification in the subject, who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to engage with the world around them. The school has been recognised by Ofsted for its positive learning environment, strong leadership, and commitment to pupil progress, with a clear focus on high expectations, inclusive practice, and continuous improvement. The Role:
- Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Marking, assessment, and providing meaningful feedback to support pupil progress
- Managing a tutor group and contributing to pastoral care
- Taking part in wider school duties and departmental responsibilities
- Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Geography Teacher (QTS preferred)
- A Geography specialist, ideally with a relevant degree or qualification
- Confident teaching across the secondary age range
- Committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
