Learning Support Assistants – September 2026 Start
Location: Farnborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only
Pay: £14.25 per hour
We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join two specialist schools in Farnborough from September 2026. The schools support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN)—such as autism and complex learning and communication needs—and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Both settings offer structured and supportive environments, where staff work collaboratively to promote pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
The Role
- As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing on a day-to-day basis.
- Encouraging pupil engagement and supporting sustained focus.
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support.
Education or tutoring, youth work or community settings, coaching, sports or mentoring roles are beneficial. The ability to build positive relationships with young people and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs are essential. Previous experience in SEN or SEMH is desirable but not essential. Comprehensive training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided.
