We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in Farnborough with an immediate start available. These settings support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex learning difficulties, communication needs, and physical or medical requirements.

Both schools provide structured, supportive environments where staff work collaboratively to promote pupils’ academic progress, independence, and overall wellbeing.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and day-to-day needs:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in line with individual learning plans
  • Assisting teachers in delivering and adapting lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
  • Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and access to learning
  • Assisting with personal care and medical needs where required
  • Implementing structured routines and individual support strategies
  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure consistent support

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Education or tutoring
  • Care or support work
  • Healthcare or medical support roles
  • Childcare or youth work
  • Community or support-based settings

The ability to build positive relationships with children and young people is essential, along with a genuine interest in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and a willingness to support both educational and personal care needs. Previous experience in SEN is desirable but not essential. Full training, guidance, and ongoing support will be provided.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
