We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in Farnborough with an immediate start available. These settings support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex learning difficulties, communication needs, and physical or medical requirements.

Both schools provide structured, supportive environments where staff work collaboratively to promote pupils’ academic progress, independence, and overall wellbeing.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and day-to-day needs. This is a varied and rewarding position that requires patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in line with individual learning plans
  • Assisting teachers in delivering and adapting lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
  • Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and access to learning
  • Promoting the development of social, life, and independence skills
  • Assisting with personal care and medical needs where required
  • Implementing structured routines and individual support strategies
  • Contributing to a safe, consistent, and inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure consistent support

Candidate Profile
