We are currently recruiting experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a range of welcoming primary schools across Fareham and the surrounding areas. This flexible opportunity is ideal for skilled practitioners who enjoy variety, value work–life balance and are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
What We’re Looking For:
- HLTA status or significant experience working at HLTA level within a primary school.
- Experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
- Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons and providing class cover where required.
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
- Ability to work effectively one-to-one and with small groups.
- A calm, adaptable, and professional approach.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and school policies.
Your Role in the Classroom:
- Delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, following set plans.
- Supporting pupils’ learning and progress across the curriculum.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to support planning and assessment.
- Leading targeted interventions for individuals or small groups.
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Following all safeguarding procedures and school expectations.
