Job Title: SEND Teacher in EYFS or KS1 Line Manager: Headteacher Salary Grade: MPS – UPS About the school Catering for children between the ages of 4-19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs. A high percentage of the student population are on the Autistic Spectrum. Key duties and responsibilities To be able to teach the curriculum with a multi-sensory approach To prepare for, provide and review class-based activities that lead to the effective education of the CYP in your charge and to develop in them the ability to take responsibility for their own learning. To ensure the good behaviour, safety and security of all CYP in your care and to develop within them positive attitudes towards others and the environment. To deploy, direct and consult with classroom assistants effectively and ensure sensitivity and responsiveness to the CYP developing needs. To keep effective records of progress of class and individual achievement in accordance with the EP's policy on record keeping.
