EYFS Practitioner

Location: Old Swan (L13)

Start Date: October 2025

Contract: Flexible (Day to Day Supply) - Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

A friendly and well-regarded nursery in Old Swan is looking for a passionate and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join their team this October. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to play a key role in their early development.

You’ll be supporting children aged 0–5 in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and essential early skills.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
  • Encouraging children’s emotional and social growth through positive interactions.
  • Observing and recording progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments.
  • Creating a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and families to provide consistent support.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in early years settings (nurseries, childcare, or similar).
  • A kind, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children.
  • A good understanding of EYFS principles and child development.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred but not essential).
