About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced part‑time Teaching Assistant to support Early Years, KS1, and KS2 classes across primary schools within the South Gloucestershire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning across Early Years, KS1, and KS2
- Assist with classroom routines and promote positive behaviour
- Provide targeted support to pupils of varying abilities
- Help deliver learning activities set by the class teacher
- Offer emotional and wellbeing support to pupils
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children
- A strong understanding of primary‑aged pupils’ learning needs
- Confidence supporting across different year groups
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (guidance available if needed)
- Valid enhanced DBS check
- Enthusiasm, patience, and an ability to build positive relationships
- Adaptability and ability to work effectively in a range of classrooms
- Experience working with children with SEND requirements
- Experience with PECS and/or Makaton (highly desirable)
- 5 days per week availability
