Teaching Personnel is looking for a friendly, proactive Year 2 Teacher in an inclusive primary school near Exeter. The school prides itself on a supportive team, strong relationships with families, and a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to flourish.

The Role

  • Lead and teach a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Plan, monitor, assess and report on pupils' progress.
  • Create a vibrant classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2, with confident subject knowledge and classroom management.
  • A passion for children's learning and wellbeing, with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
